Recently, I posted in the blog that I tend to - about discontent: lifeasahebrew.com/2018/01/27/discontent/It's a thing, a real boogey-man type presence, when we consider the application to Torah. You see, everyone I encounter seems to want to have more of Torah for themselves. It's too easy to think that we can ignore the priests and go straight to Almighty, ourselves. We don't need the priesthood - only for atonement rituals, right? We're intelligent enough to pick apart the texts and study shards and scraps of paper and KNOW what is real and what is not. We don't need no stinkin' priests. So tell me - how is Torah applicable without the legitimate structure? What do you accomplish by circumventing the roles laid out, thinking that you have the direct access to Almighty? Something to think about: Are you content with the role that has been assigned to you in Torah? Because the only saving grace in the whole f'in' thing is to accept and keep to your role. I'm a common woman, a stranger who is not even a resident. A NOBODY. I can think that I'm doing the right thing, but that's my personal mirage. The right thing is to keep the law in the land, upholding the roles as they were assigned. What is your place? Would you find contentment in your true role?

This is a copy/paste from another thread:
Knowing that every living part of creation is content in its position in Torah, having its sacred role as a legitimate contributor to the system God created, should encourage you to find your place and be content with it and stop the bickering and nit-picking of Torah.
God doesn't favor those who rebel against God. You're not on solid ground if you fit that bill. Rather, find peace in your place, wherever that is.
Also, the priesthood is incomplete without a community supporting it. Here is the irony:
The 'Torah' community wants a priest, maybe more than one if possible, but the community also questions the authority of the priests, the authority, opinions and explanations of Torah and the legitimacy of the priest himself. So you have a priest, but you have no supporting community. Who will make the priests garments? Are you insisting that the priest make his own garments? A rhetorical question Trisha, not directed at you because you, more than most, understands roles in Torah.
If you understand that everyone and everything has its role in Torah and if you can accept your role, whatever that may be, then the system God gave Israel, the land, will live on and all the world will be blessed, according to God. Or you can keep arguing and bickering and nit-picking Torah and enjoy the curses of all the world for all time. Its a choice, remember the apple.

This is a comment from another board which discusses, but more accurately, criticizes God and Torah. The question was put of roles in Torah but the contributors concerns are not her role in Torah, but rather who is the fucking priest. Who made him a priest and who the fuck is he and why the fuck should I ever listen to him. Well, she need not. Being that we're all outside of Israel, and Torah is a land specific law book, nobody gives a fuck, so fuck you for your stupidity, I don't give a fuck! Another contributor in the group, who claims to know the truth of Torah, a 10 year veteran of the book and a proven DNA lineage of Levi, said this of the priest: God never gave these idiots the authority to question a priest, to evaluate in their minds who is worthy and who is not. Its all bullshit. Its all rebellion. Everyone wants to be closer to God just like ye olde rebel Korah. Its shameful that these two who spend many hours a day bickering away about what this word or that phrase mean in Torah, pretending to be the 'experts', show no inclination of their place in Torah. But I overlook one important position they hold: 'Debbie Downers' The Debbie Downers of God and Torah. Why even bother to read Torah if you cannot accept the written word? Why not put it down and say its not for you. Or admit that all its good for is a good old argument about bullshit. Because thats all you offer the world: Bullshit. You offer no solutions. You see no place in Torah for yourselves. You blame people who claim to be priests as potential impostors and people hiding behind aliases - Fuck you. You haven't lived a day in my life you fucking retard. Take your fucking useless bickering and write a long letter to God, then get rid of your Torah forever. You're disgracing it, you're shitting on it for everyone else. I'll let you know how I really feel next post, promise

There was a time in my life where I would have found this last post offensive -- no longer. I am only extremely hurt by those who would question authority, and extremely saddened for the priest. Why even bother to read Torah if you cannot accept the written word? Why not put it down and say its not for you. Or admit that all its good for is a good old argument about bullshit. Because thats all you offer the world: Bullshit. You offer no solutions. You see no place in Torah for yourselves.
But this is the whole matter, right here. Studying and looking for meaning, for some personal satisfaction or gain, does nothing for Almighty. The rubber hits the road here. "We will hear and we will do" - and it was considered good. So - who is there to do? What is there to do? With so few, how can it make a difference?

What to do? So few? Do numbers really matter to God? No.
One suggestion and if the 'community' really cared, they will come up with many, many more.
1. Make people that live in Israel, aware that there is a sacred book called Torah, which dictates how they should live their lives in the land. Now do we need to be REAL specific about the borders of the land? No. All the major cities in Israel are well within any drunken draftsman's version of its tribal borders.
